Artistic Quest

I’ve always wanted to be an artist. Over the years, I’ve dabbled in calligraphy, computer graphics and jewelry-making. While I still have a passion for these things, particularly the jewelry, I’ve always wanted to “draw something.” Unfortunately, whenever I made the attempt, my “drawing” just looked….odd.

So I set that ambition aside, until recently. I have now discovered the joy and creativity involved in mixed media and art journals. There are so many artists willing to share their work and techniques on the Internet, and in my quest to learn more about mixed media, I discovered another art form called Zentangle ®. What intrigued me about this art form was the fact that one doesn’t have to be an artist to create a lovely artistic drawing. This sounded perfect for me! Now I can’t seem to stop “tangling.” I love it!

I decided to create a blog, mainly as a personal reference file, but also a place to share my “art” with family and friends. I am dedicating my blog to my daughter, Brittany. She is a wonderful daughter, an extraordinary person, a loving, dedicated wife and mother, and she is an artist! A real artist, and she has been my inspiration since the day she was born!
